Mission Partners

As a Church and a community to recognise that we have so much to be grateful for. And so we want to be as generous as we can in sharing this with others.

In 2007 as a church our financial support has helped to grow God’s kingdom at home, across the country, and over the world. From 10% of our free-will giving, and from other fundraising, we have been able to give away about £6,500 in 2007. This includes….:

CLOSER TO HOME

£400. Spurgeons Wolverhampton, who work with young people acting as carers for other family members. (Christmas collection)

£250. Life Exhibition, bringing the good news of Jesus to primary aged children in Wolverhampton in April 2008

£150. Jericho House, working to provide a safe and caring environment for homeless women and their children in Wolverhampton

£100. Penn Winn Foundation, providing Bibles for local children

£75. Birmingham University Christian Union

AROUND THE UK

£1300. Liz Cox working for TLC, training and mentoring leaders in the UK and beyond

£400. Jenny Hunter, working with Friends International in Cambridge

£380. The Childrens Society, funded by our 2007 Christingle Service

£200. CPAS (The Church Pastoral Aid Society) to equip churches and Christians across the UK to bring the gospel to each and every generation.

ACROSS THE WORLD

£1000. Carol Derbyshire, working with Crosslinks in Tanzania

£1000. HB. working with in Central Asia

£400. Help the Aged projects (Christmas collection)

£200. Tim Derbyshire, working with Mission Aviation Fellowship in Tanzania

£150. The Leprosy Mission, helping individuals and communities affected by leprosy across the world

£150. The Barnabas Fund, working to bring “hope and aid to the persecuted church” across the world.

£30. The Gambia Project run by Brian & June Cox, providing a start in education for children

I’ve just discovered the St Jo’s website – think it’s great! Just wanted to take the opportunity to thank you for all your support – it is a huge gift to me and makes a massive contribution in enabling me to do what I do. I’m always on the look out for ways of keeping you posted of what exactly that is, so I look forward to being able to participate in a few postings!

    With love, Liz
