Start Course

LIFE? WHAT’S IT ALL ABOUT?

What is it like? Some say it’s a dream, others call it a joke. Some describe it as a maze – and for a lucky few, it’s just a bowl of cherries.

Or you could picture it as being like a seaside theme park with:

  • a roller coaster – full of ups and downs
  • a merry-go-round – spinning round, going nowhere
  • a stick of candyfloss – looks great but somehow doesn’t add up to much
  • a view from a deckchair – as you watch the world go by

Start! is a six-session course designed to help people discover the basics of the Christian faith. Nearly 100 people have taken part in START courses over the last few years at St Jo’s.

Who is it for? Anyone with questions who might be looking for answers.

What happens? Start! is normally run in small groups of about twelve people. A normal Start! session will involve watching a couple short video clips, followed by time to talk, listen and ask questions. The session will last roughly seventy-five minutes.

What will it cost? Nothing. The course is free.

For details of the next course see the Events page.
