Sunday Services
St Jo’s is a really friendly church made up of a number of different congregations, each of which has a particular style and feel. To know exactly what is happening this week see the weekly events on the welcome page.
Sundays 9:00 am is a quieter, more reflective service. We use common worship order one liturgy and have sung worship with communion on weeks one and three in the month. Come, meet with God, you will receive a warm welcome and be part of a close knit family.
Sundays 10.30am is the service that most people come to first. With 100+ adults and about 70 children, the morning service has a contemporary and lively feel to it. Each week we sing songs to praise God, listen to God’s word to us and apply to our own lives, and pray that God would equip us by his Spirit to live and grow as Christians. Children and young people usually begin in church together, and then go out to separate age-related groups run by a really great team (see also the Children+Youth pages for more info). After the service we have refreshments together in the church centre. Services usually last about an hour and a quarter. We also run a crêche for the entire length of the service for the children too young to go into Sparklers (ie under 3).
Sundays 6:30pm has a variety of exciting services – Youth, Presence, Prayer Focus, and more! See the current term card for details of what’s happening.
